Gambia: Gamcel FC Sail to Final in Ndofan Nawettan

Gamcel FC of Mbollet-Ba Village are through to the final of the Ndofan Sports Committee-organised nawettan competition after beating Ndofan FC 3-1 in their semi-final encounter played at the Biri-Biri Mini Stadium in Ndofan Village, Lower Niumi District, North Bank Region.

Pa Ousman Sonko opened the score for Gamcel in the 16th minute of the game while Omar Fatty made it 2-0 for Gamcel in the 67th minute.

Gamcel were reduced to ten men in the 70th minute of the game when Ousman Sarr was sent off.

Modou L. Sarr pulled a goal back for Ndofan in the 76th minute of the game.

Lamin Njie sealed the victory for Gamcel in the 88th minute of the game.

Fatima FC of Mbollet-Ba Village will face Garas FC of Barra in the second semi-final to be played on Saturday 5 January 2013 at the Biri-Biri Mini Stadium in Ndofan Village.

The winner will meet Gamcel FC in the final, a date to be decided by the organizing committee.
