Gambia: West Coast Region Inter-Academy Tourney Update

M.S. Bah U-15 Academy on Sunday defeated KGH Sports Academy of Lamin 2-1 in the West Coast Region inter-academy football tournament currently underway at the Brikama Mini Stadium.

Bah Academy's goals were scored by striker Amadou Bah and Buba Bojang in the 5th and 15th minutes of the game respectively.

Prolific striker Ismaila Conteh's 19th minute strike only proved to be a consolation goal for the Lamin-based football academy.

Touray's Academy U-13 defeated Gunjur Community Academy U-13 1-0; Black and White Academy of Busumbala U-13 drew 1-1 with Ajax Academy of Giboro U-13.

In the U-10 category, KGH Sports Academy drew 1-1 with Ajax Academy of Giboro in the other U-10 encounter game played at the Brikama Mini Stadium on the same day.

The tournament is organised to develop and nurture young talents in the region as well as promote grassroots football in the country.
