Nigeria: Minister - FCTA Saved 239 Lives, N3.1 Billion Worth of Properties in 2012

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) was able to save about 239 lives and properties worth over N3 billion from fire incidences in and around the FCT in the past year of 2012.

This was disclosed Wednesday by the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed after looking into the activities of the FCT Urban Affairs Department in retrospect in his office at Area 11, Garki, Abuja.

Mohammed recalled that within the same period from January to December 2012, the FCT Fire Service received 486 fire calls as well as 103 rescue calls.
