Motorcycle racer Harite Gabari will be the sole Moroccan competitor in the 2013 Dakar Rally, which begins January 5th in South America, Yabiladi reported on Tuesday (January 1st). For two weeks, car, truck and moto racers will cross Peru, Argentina and Chile during the two-week event previously known as "Paris-Dakar".
The 2007 Aleg murder of a French tourist family by al-Qaeda terrorists prompted the relocation of the legendary rally to South America.
