Angola: Bengo Province Engaged in Construction of Sports Infrastructures

Caxito — The government of Bengo Province has invested in the construction of sports infrastructures aimed at encouraging and boosting various sports in the area.

An agreement for the construction of multi-purpose pavilions in Mabubas, Dande Municipality, was signed in April of 2012 by the government of Bengo Province and a civil engineering company.

The pavilion has the capacity for 4,300 spectators and it is being built in areas of 6,180 square metres.

The venue will feature a main field for sports like basketball, handball, volleyball and swimming.

The project, estimated at ten million dollars, was financed by the Coca-Cola fund, under an agreement

between that company and the provincial government of Bengo.

Dande, Pango Aluquém, Ambriz, Nambuangongo, Bula Atumba and Dembos are municipalities of Bengo Province, whose chief town is Caxito.
