Few workers reported for work at the State and Federal Secretariats in Benin on Wednesday after the Christmas and New Year holidays NAN correspondents reports that although the gates to the premises were opened, very few workers were seen resuming duties at 9 a.m.
Mr Chrisopher Morka, the Controller, the Federal Ministry of Labour in the state, appealed to government to provide working materials to enhance their productivity in the New Year.
Morka said that workers were willing and ready to perform their assigned duties and that government should release more funds to cater for workers' utility bills. (NAN)
