Nigeria: Cleric Says Nigerian Leaders Need Fervent Prayers

Reverend Isaac Oluyamo of All Saints Anglican Cathedral Church in Osogbo says President Goodluck Jonathan and other Nigerian leaders need the fervent prayers of all and sundry to succeed.

Oluyamo said this in Osogbo on Tuesday in his sermon to mark the New Year celebration.

He said the challenges facing the nation were beyond human efforts and could only be surmounted through God's intervention. "Only God can provide solution to the numerous challenges facing the nation.

"Therefore every Nigerian, irrespective of religious affiliation, should rise up and cry unto God. "Let all of us seek the face of almighty God to guide our leaders' right and touch their hearts so as to lead us in the right direction," (NAN)
