Sokoto — Sokoto state government has approved the sum of N35 million under its scholarship programme for the sponsorship of 12 indigenous students in order to pursue Aircraft Dispatch Course at the NEXUS Flight Safety International in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Chairman, State Scholarship Board, Alhaji Abubakar Jelani Kalgo disclosed this when addressing participants in his office before their departure to Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, enroute Jeddah for the commencement of the course slated for 15th January, 2013. A statement signed by the board Information Officer, Mallam Isa Abubakar yesterday, said the state governor, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has already approved and subsequently released the fund for the aviation programme.
