Angola: Luanda Government Hails Year-End Parties Organization Level

Luanda — The Luanda Provincial Government Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the organization level of Christmas and Year-end parties, in that it was possible the supply of electricity and drinking water.

The information was given by the provincial director of the media, Carlos Gonçalves, at the end of a meeting chaired by the provincial governor, Bento Bento, to evaluate the degree of operability of the various structures that were committed in ensuring a peaceful festive season.

According to the official, although there are some flaws, the main areas of the city enjoyed the festive smoothly, having registered efficiency in the collection and treatment of waste.

Carlos Gonçalves said there was concern on the part of the Government, for the fact that there has been the installation of a large number of citizens camping on the sea side, at entrance of Luanda Island, in disobedience of the authority guidelines relating to necessary health care and sanitation of the area.
