Angola: Writer Paula Russa Wins Benguela Literature Prize

Benguela — The Angolan writer Paula Russa won the 2012 edition of the Culture and Arts Award in Literature category, with the infant-juvenile book entitled "Amigos para Sempre".

The results were announced this Wednesday by the director of Culture in Benguela, Cristóvão Mário Kajibanga.

The Provincial Culture and Arts Award, in its second edition, will be given to competitors in seven categories.

The award was created in 2011 by the Government of Benguela, with the primary purpose of encouraging and promoting creativity and quality of works of national artists in this region.
