The government has committed to building teachers and medics new houses.

President Yoweri Museveni has promised teachers and the medics that his government will construct houses for them nationwide.

The President made these remarks while celebrating the New Year at Kazo Secondary School in Kiruhuura District where he called upon the teachers to be patient as government gears to fulfilling all the promises it has made.

He says, "The NRM government is committed to building houses for teachers and medical personnel at their respective places of work in the country."

This comes at a time when hundreds of school teachers and medical workers in various districts have called for government intervention in constructing housing facilities in their areas of deployment.
