Kenya: Busia County Residents Lauded for Celebrating Christmas Peacefully.

BUSIA deputy OCPD Francis Nguli has praised residents for celebrating Christmas and New Year peacefully and cooperating with police to maintain security during the festive season.

In a press briefing at Busia police station yesterday, Nguli said adequate police officers had been deployed to protect the residents.

He asked residents to work closely with community policing committee members from their respective areas to ensure all criminal gangs who have been terrorizing people in the past few months are arrested.

He also cautioned the youth against being used by politicians during the campaigns ahead of the March 4 polls.

He said the district security committee has put effective measures in place to deal effectively with anybody who will attempt to incite youth into causing chaos regardless of their status in society.
