Aspirants for parliamentary and ward representative seats in Imenti South in conjunction with the ward CDF committees have resolved on mechanisms of ensuring the initiated CDF projects will be completed once new leaders are elected in office.
While speaking at Kanyakine during the inspection of projects, the Meru County Council Chairman Gideon Kimathi said with the coming of the devolved system of governance, leaders in South Imenti are strategizing on how they can reap the benefits of devolution at the grassroots.
He said a building which had been initiated to house the District Commissioner in 2008 at Kanyakine will be utilized to house several departments of the county government attached to the constituency. "This building has been under construction since 2008 and it will house departmental heads," said Kamiti.
