Kenya: Road Deaths Worries Pogisio

Communication minister Samuel Poghisio has said he is alarmed by the many deaths caused by road accidents on the highways.

The minister was speaking at Makutano Township in Kapenguria in the new year when he presented reflector jackets to boda boda operators donated by The Brand Kenya.

He called on the police and motor vehicle owners to come up with workable solutions to curb the road carnage. It's estimate that about 3,000 people die annually in road accidents according to police sources.
