Angola: State Secretary of Culture Visits Victims of Vigil

Luanda — The State secretary of Culture, Cornélio Caley, visited on Thursday the victims of the vigil of the Universal Church, at Cidadela National stadium and interned at Américo Boavida Hospital.

Addressing the press, in the fringes of the visit, the official showed his sorrow for the state of the children interned in that hospital. "Children are in a serious condition and as being children I have no reason not to leave this place sad", he said.

At least 13 people died and over 100 were injured while attempting to get into the national cidadela stadium to watch a vigil of the mentioned church, on December 31st.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has ordered an inquiry to know the reasons of the accident.
