Nigeria: Cyclist's Passenger Narrates Accident Ordeal

A middle-aged staff of Indomie Noodles Company, Amoke John, at the weekend narrated how he narrowly escaped death when the commercial motorcycle he boarded was hit by a Toyota Sienna vehicle along Phase 2, Site 2 junction at Kubwa.

The man, who is on admission at Kubwa General Hospital, said on that fateful day, he took his Toyota Camry Car for washing and went home to do some other things.

"I boarded a commercial motorcycle back to the carwash to pick my car but on my way, a Sienna vehicle crashed into us and the driver almost zoomed off if not for the quick intervention of other cyclists in the area, who blocked the vehicle," he said.

Amoke, who sustained serious injury on his two legs, said that the driver has not cooperated with him after the accident.

Reacting to the incident, Head of Accident and Emergency unit of the hospital, Dr. Paul Oliseh said the patient is responding to treatment.
