Kenyan rapper Stella Mwangi’s remix of her track Shut It Down has landed her a spot on the stage with RnB giant Trey Songs.
The Norway based award winning musician will be the opening act for Songs who is expected to hold a series of concerts in the Scandinavian region.
“Stella was selected by the event company ‘Live Nation Norway’. She’s doing the opening act for Norway only,” according to her management.
“Trey will also be doing Sweden with Live Nation worldwide.”
The show in the Norwegian capital will be on Saturday night at the Sentrum Scene Oslo and thousands of hip hop fans will be there.
“There will be several Norwegian DJs playing and STL will be the only artist opening for Trey.”
According to Tom Rodger, who is STL’s producer and manager in Norway, Live Nation only chose Stella because the remix of her gritty song Shut It Down, which features Kenyan femcee Xtatic, Ghana’s Tiffany and Nitty Scott, a female rapper from the US.
The show will be streaming live online.
