The Gambia's youngest artist- Junior Don, is looking for ways and means to make a combination song with the Gambia's king of Kora Jaliba Kuyateh, as he dedicates a song to the children of the country.
Born Abdul Aziz Cham but musically Junior Don, in recent years has carved a niche for himself epecially among his peers as they continue to admire his musical skills. However, with over décades in his profession as one of the Gambia's most celebrated kora sensations of our time- Jaliba Kuyateh, no doubt is not only adored for his popularity but a figure many aspring artistes want to be associated with. 'I look forward to make a duet song with the kora maestro. My dream at the moment is to meet Jaliba Kuyateh, who is the UNICEF goodwill Ambassador in the Gambia'.
The singing sensation who just turn 8 years in 2013, said he has a song for his mates (children) and that the best person to make a duet song with Jaliba Kuyateh, he is also advocating for the rights of chidren. Junior who is working very hard to release his debut album sometime soon to be tittled 'Children of Today' said the only song he's now waiting is the duet song he look forward to with Jaliba Kuyateh.
He explanied that they approach Jaliba's manager on the issue but that the outcome is very slow adding that he always call Jaliba's manager about the said projectbutefforts to that regards are still at slow pace. 'All what I wanted is to meet Jaliba and show him my interest in working with him in a song but actually I dont know which channels to take and that's why I am here to see ways and means how to make a combination song with Jaliba'.
With 8 songs already under his belt, which are recorded, Junior Don is also currently busy in the studios as he wants to release his first album in March.
