George Bernard Shaw said "there is no love more sincere than the love of food." He could not have put it any better as the Taste Bar & Restaurant Awards 2013 were formally launched two weeks ago.
The intimate function at the Sankara Hotel in Nairobi served to reward all the hard efforts put in during the past year from restaurateurs, bar owners, hospitality industry experts and personas of note, who were all in attendance.
Director of Taste Shreya Karia was pleased to state that this year's awards will incorporate many more establishments especially in the coastal region and will seek to raise the previous standards. It was certainly an evening of good food, drinks and festive toasting.
