Kenya: Residents Urged to Get Checkups
By Raphael Mwadime, 4 January 2013
Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu has urged his constituents to go for medical checkups. He said many people suffer in silentce when they can get help.
Mwadeghu cited cancer, heart diseases, high blood pressure among other diseases that are curable when detected early. The MP was speaking at a free one-week medical camp sponsored by the Wundanyi CDF kitty.
Mwadeghu said the camp will help the poor who do not have access to expensive medical services offered at hospitals in bigger towns like Nairobi and Mombasa.
