Luanda — Members of the ruling MPLA party's parliamentary bench Friday in Luanda attended the funeral of three of the 13 victims of the Luanda Cidadela stadium vigil tragedy of 31 December 2012 sponsored by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.

The ceremony, which took place at the "Santa Ana" cemetery, also gathered Luanda provincial Government officials, pastors, relatives and friends.

Speaking to the press, MP Genoveva Lino regretted the incident that resulted in the killing of 13, some of whom survived by children.

Thirteen people were killed and over a hundred others injured when a stamped started at the overcrowded venue for the vigil.
