Egypt: A Plan for Replacement, Renovation of Egyptair Airplanes

Chairman of the Holding Company for EgyptAir Tawfiq A'asy said that the company is in need of new airplanes to keep up with expansion plans in the coming years through operating new airlines.

A'asy pointed out that the company is considering the most appropriate way to develop and increase its fleet through the continued replacement and renovation of a number of its airplanes, adding that the company is preparing economic feasibility studies in order to reach the most appropriate model of operation.

In statements to "Al Gomhuris" newspaper, A'asy made clear that the replacement and renovation of airplanes comes as part of the company's plan to rationalize spending and maximize returns.
