Egypt: Registration for Egyptian Voters Overseas Starts Jan. 8

The High Elections Commission tasked with supervising the next parliamentary elections said the registration for Egyptian voters overseas will start Jan. 8 till Feb. 18.

Judge Samir Abou el-Maati, the head of the electoral commission, said that the deadline for the registration can be extended until the official announcement for the vote.

The date of elections to the lower house of the Egyptian parliament, the House of Representatives, is to be announced within two months since the approval of the constitution.
