Angola: Road Accidents Kill 86 People in Cunene Province

Ondjiva — At least 86 people were killed and 349 others injured, following 350 road accidents in the year 2012 in southern Cunene province, said the police spokesperson, Piedade Pombal.

The figure represents a reduction of 93 accidents, 33 deaths and 37 injured people as compared with the previous year.

The causes of the accidents are high speed, disregard of traffic rules, drunking driving, bad pedestrian behaviour and others.
