Tanzania: Dar Gymkhana to Host Open Snooker Tourney

THE Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC) will host Snooker Open competition starting next Thursday.Snooker captain at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club, Firoz Yusufali said the event which will stretch up to February 3, this year, is expected to be thrilling and intriguing.

He said five major clubs namely Annadil Burhani Club, Upanga Club, DI Club, Agakhan Club and hosts Gymkhana are expected to compete in the event."We expect it to be very competitive as top players have confirmed to take part in the tournament," he said.

The competition to be played in the best of three format is in fact becoming a talk of the town as each club is boasting that it will clinch the trophy.The event is sponsored by Cargo Stars Limited. Cargo Stars have been sponsoring this event for the last four years.
