Angola/Zambia: Palancas Negras Beat African Champions in Friendly Match

Luanda — With goals scored by Geraldo and Amaro, the Angolan national football team beat on Saturday Zambia, the African champions, by 2-0 in Johannesburg, in the last friendly match ahead of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON2013) set from 19 January to 10 February in South Africa.

This is the third consecutive victory of Palancas Negras in preparation game for AFCON2013.

Angop learnt that the national squad started the with the following players goal keeper Lamá, defenders Lunguinha, Dani Massunguna, Bastos and Miguel, midfielders Manuel, Pirolito, Mateus Galiano and Mingo Bille, strikers Geraldo and Guilherme Afonso.

In AFCON2013, Angola share Group A with South Africa (host), Morocco and Cape Verde, while Zambia, coached by Frenchman Hervé Renard, integrate group C along with Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
