Nigeria: Sylva - I Don't Have 48 Houses

Former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva Saturday in Abuja said that he does not have 48 houses as claimed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a statement issued and signed by his lawyer, Mr Benson Ibezim, the former governor said that he had only three houses and that he had acquired the houses before he became governor.

The statement said: "In the first instance, Chief Timipre Sylva is not having 48 properties anywhere in the world."
