Tanzania: Polisi Moro, JKU Netball Sides Shine At Mapinduzi Cup

Zanzibar — POLISI Morogoro and JKU of Zanzibar netballers maintained their impressive performance in the on-going Mapinduzi Cup here.

In the first match Polisi Morogoro sneaked out with a hard fought 44-42 win over KVZ of Zanzibar, while JKU whitewashed Sogea 75-28. Polisi Goal Attacker (GA) Fatma Chazi and Goal Shooter (GS) Yusra Jadi were unstoppable throughout the match.

They scored goals almost at will. The JKU versus Sogea match was one way traffic as the former commanded the game from the word go. JKU capitalized on experienced Masika Komba (GA) and Magreth John (GS) to easily emerge victorious.

The duo turned the match to a mere training session as they scored easy goals. In the first quarter JKU took 18-7 lead and stretched their lead to 36- 12 at the breather. Sogea came a bit stronger in the third quarter in which they managed to score 19 goals but it was not enough to tally 52 goals scored by their opponents.
