Kenya: Narok Locals Protest Against Armed Gangs

RESIDENTS of Melili in Narok North have complained of rising cases of insecurity. Led by Ildamat ward aspirant Hosea Nkoile, they said the state of security in the region and its environs has deteriorated with many innocent locals being target by armed gangs.

Addressing reporters in Narok town yesterday, the locals appealed to Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo to put a police post in the area.

"We are afraid that if the insecurity issue is not tackled in time, Melili will soon turn into a haven for dangerous criminals," said Nkoile.
