Angola: Over 1000 Conscripts Under Military Training

Huambo — About 1. 500 youths from the country's 18 provinces are attending as from this Sunday in the central Huambo province the 13th military training of the Angolan Armed Force (FAA) in "Herois de Kangamba" centre.

The 3-month military training aims at informing and assessing the importance of defending the nation and the virtues of soldiers, as it is one of the strengthening factors of personality, patriotic sense and conscious acceptance of the duties of the security and defence of the nation.

During the training action, participants will learn about general technical preparedness, military regulations, body spirit, reaction capacity in face of emergency situations and engagement rules, among others.

The opening ceremony of the training action was led by the commander of the central military region, General Manuel dos Santos Hilário, who stressed that with this course "we will strengthen the units, establishments and sectors with new staff that control and maintain the best homeland defence."
