Defense Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Abdel-Fattah Sisi asserted on Saturday 5/1/2012 that Sinai residents are part and parcel of army efforts to protect Egypt.

During his meeting with Sinai tribal chieftains, Sisi said the Armed Forces will not allow any prejudice against the Sinai people.

"The Armed Forces only seek to protect national security and safeguard that dear part of Egypt's territories," Sisi said.

He expressed appreciation for Sinai residents and their sacrifices across Egypt's history, saying that they are the frontline of defense of national security.
