Davido who clinched the best newcomer award at KORA awards last Saturday had a fall out with his manager, Asa Asika, and sacked him after two years of good working relationship.

A source close to the 22 year-old manager, informed Entertainment Rendezvous that he was sacked basically on executive decision, which gave credence to the earlier information that Davido's record label, HKN, might be responsible for the split.

It was gathered that the split was finalised on Friday, December 28, 2012 as HKN felt Davido needs a more experienced management team to handle his growing brand.

Reports had it that Yemi Energy is likely to be Asa's successor.

The Davido brand in the last one year has grown in leaps and bounds with lots of awards such as the Headies 2012 Revelation of the Year and NMVA, New Artist Video but his personality may have suffered due to his perceived arrogance.
