Malian Prime Minister Diango Cissoko arrived in Nouakchott on Saturday (January 5th) to begin a working visit. He was met at the airport by his Mauritanian counterpart Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf and other government officials.
Talks with President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and other Mauritanian officials are expected to focus on reclaiming northern Mali from terrorists and armed Islamists, Journal Tahalil reported.
On December 27th, Cissoko began a regional tour to seek African military intervention.
