Sweet natured and beautiful Yoruba actress, Bisi Komolafe died of what some alleged to be leukemia (cancer of the blood but not yet confirmed by medical reports as at press time) in the early hours on January 1, 2013 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State. She reportedly passed away in the presence of a few members of her family. She had battled a mysterious illness for nearly four months and had been in and out of the hospital before she finally requested that she should be taken to Ibadan from Lagos when she noticed that her health was fatally failing. Bisi, a fast rising face of the Yoruba movie industry died in her late 20s with the plan of getting married in the second quarter of the year if she survives the undisclosed ailment. A close family member confided in Showbizflair that the thespian was already pregnant before she was rushed to the hospital a few weeks back but complications arising from the ailment made the experts suggest she terminates the pregnancy to stay alive to which she heeded. Bisi lived with her aunt after losing her mother and was the shining star of her family before she breathed her last. Survived by siblings, father and an aged grand mum, Bisi's was given a befitting burial at the Catholic Church, Oke Padre, Salvation Army Way, Ibadan yesterday, Friday, January 4 amid massive wailing by family members, fans and friends

Nollywood received the cheery news of Mercy Johnson Okogie's delivery of a bouncing baby girl on Monday, December 31, 2012. The celebrated actress put to bed at the John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, USA. In August 2011, Mercy Johnson married Prince Odi Okogie at the Christ Embassy Church, Oregun Ikeja-Lagos in a fairy tale fashion. The sultry actress who has been in the US for a few months had reportedly taken a few movie roles that suited her condition while she was heavily pregnant.
