Nigeria: 100 Kebbi Polio Victims to Undergo Corrective Surgery

Kebbi State government said yesterday that 100 polio victims in the state would undergo corrective surgery.

The surgery would take place at the National Hospital, Abuja, next month and would be jointly sponsored by the state government and Rotary International.

The state governor's aide on health, Abdulnasir Argungu, said in Birnin Kebbi that the government would provide feeding, transportation and other logistics for the patients.

Argungu commended Rotary International for sponsoring the surgery. 40 polio victims from the state went through corrective surgery in December. (NAN)
