Egypt: Minister - New Incentives, Laws to Boost Business, Small And Medium Enterprises

Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Hatem Saleh said on Friday 04/01/2013 the ministry is currently laying down a number of incentives and legislations to develop business engagement and small & medium sized enterprises.

The Industrial Development Authority will allocate 20% of the available lands of the industrial areas for small and medium sized enterprises as well as forming a new unit at the center of modernizing industry to push forward and upgrade these enterprises, the minister pointed out in a symposium hosted by "Our Egypt" Society.

Investment Minister Osama Saleh said the ministry will set up a special fund for developing small and medium sized enterprises costing EGP 150 million including 10 percent for new projects and 90 percent for the present ones.
