As the countdown to the Nations Cup championship draws near, the Camp Commandant of the national team, Lt Col Rabiu Yandoto, has yet to resume with the team and officials here say they are in touch with him as he awaits clearance from authorities of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Team Secretary Dayo Enebi Achor, says he has been in constant touch with the army officer and he has assured that once he gets his clearance from the Chief of Army Staff, he would immediately join the team for the Nations Cup tournament.

The Commandant is usually in charge of maintaining camp discipline and order, especially among the players in camp and keeps a close eye on the activities of the players for maximum output at major tournaments.

"We are expecting Col Yandoto any moment from now and the Head Coach and the NFF Leadership is aware of the situation," Achor said at the weekend.
