Egypt: Armed Forces Greet Copts On Christmas

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Defense Minister General Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi sent Sunday a cable of greetings to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on the occasion of the Coptic Orthodox Christmas.

Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Sedqi Sobhi also sent a similar cable to the pope.

Meanwhile Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi greeted Coptic expatriates in the United States on the occasion of Coptic Orthodox Christmas.

El-Sisi delegated military attach Gen. Mohammed el-Kishki to extend the greetings to Coptic nationals in the US, The minister greeted earlier Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on the occasion.
