Ogopa-signed singer Avril has denied reports that she is going out with Bongo singer Diamond. The two are rumoured to be an item after Avril featured on Diamond's new video for the song Kesho.

"I have been reading about these stories both online and on newspapers but as far as I'm concerned we are just friends and actually I was not the only Kenyan musician on the video. Diamond had requested that we support him by featuring on the video. I don't understand why people read so much in minor issues," Avril told Word Is.

Avril also dismissed rumours that she had travelled to Zanzibar with the Tanzanian singer. "I was very busy during the Christmas season and had been booked for so many events at the Coast. I wonder what time I had to go on holidays in Zanzibar."

Efforts to reach Diamond were futile as he did not pick up our calls.

Meanwhile, Avril is set to release a new song before the end of the month. This is part of her solo projects having made her name through collabos. She is currently compiling songs for her first album.
