Kenya: School Books Theft On the Rise

The Embu West district education board has raised the alarm on the breaking into and stealing of text books from local primary schools.

Board chairman, also the Acting DC Daniel Obudo said cases of theft of text books from primary schools have increased in the recent past. He said they suspect the books are being sold to old text book vendors who in turn sell them to parents cheaply.
