Jamaican dancehall stars Konshens and Chris Martin are set to perform in Uganda sometime this month.

Konshens comes as a replacement for Mavado who refused to perform last month even after getting half of the performance fee. This is the second time that Mavado has cancelled visiting East Africa on the last minute. He was scheduled to perform in Kenya in 2011 but he didn't turn up.

Rumour has it that Mavado has refused to come to Uganda because he wasn't given all his money. Others say the promoter refused to pay for his girlfriend's flight yet he wanted to come with her for the Uganda show.

Chris Martin and Konshens have previously performed in Kenya. Chris Martin has actually performed twice in Kenya. This will be Konshen's third concert in Uganda.
