Rwanda: Sunrise Continue to Dominate Second Division

SUNRISE FC thrashed Kirehe 4-0 in the second division league on Sunday to boost their hopes of gaining promotion to the top flight division at the first time of asking.

The win took the Rwamagana based side, formed only this season, top of group A thanks to goals from Salenda, who scored two, and Patrick and Eric Irambona strikes.

Abdul Mbarushimana's team has now won three and lost one of their four matches played in their debut season albeit with one match in hand against National University of Rwanda, which will be played on Wednesday.

Those wins came against Rwamagana 3-0, Sec Academy 1-0 and Gasabo 2-0, while losing to Gicumbi 2-0.

In other Group A matches, Rwamagana FC beat Sorwathe 2-0, Sec Academy defeated Gicumbi 2-0, Gasabo drew 0-0 with Unity FC, while National University of Rwanda lost at home to Vision Jeunesse Nouvelles 0-1.

In group B, Pepiniere lost at home to to Vision 1-2,while Bugesera won 2-1 at Intare in Huye.
