Angola: Minister in Sumbe for Culture Day Celebrations

Sumbe — Angola's minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, is already in Sumbe, Kwanza-sul province capital city, under the celebrations of the National Culture Day, January 08, whose main act happens on Tuesday, Angop has learnt.

The Cabinet minister was received by the Provincial Governor, Eusébio Teixeira, with whom she debated various matters regarding the culture sector in the province.

The government official will unveil the name plate of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Church, considered as national heritage, chair the official act of the culture day activities, as well as handing over diplomas of merit and honour to local cultural agents.

The holding of seminars on theatre, dance, harmonization of the orthography of Bantu languages, technique of collecting oral traditions are also part of the agenda.
