Angola: MACON Provides Buses to Operate in Moxico

Luena — The municipalities and communes of Moxico were included in the routes project for 2013 by the private transport company "Macon", reported in Luena, its agent, Jorge de Carvalho "Frazão".

Speaking to ANGOP, the head said that the department is to establish contacts with the administration of Moxico (headquarters), in order to get land for parking over 10 buses.

He added that since two months Macon already operates in the routes of Luena-Saurimo-Luanda and with opening of new routes (Lucusse, Luau and Bundas) it will create more than ten new jobs for drivers, collectors, mechanics, among other jobs.

For Jorge de Carvalho, given the demand, the company will extend its services to other municipalities, soon, to make road condition in the region.

Macon company was established on May 25, 2001 and now operates throughout the country.
