LAMECK Lebeus (21) from the Onelombo village in the Ohangwena Region, appeared in the Omungwelume Magistrate Court yesterday charged with the murder of Liika Ndeukumwa sha Nghilifa (40), a registered nurse from the Oshakati State Hospital.
She was killed on Saturday night.
Lebeus was not asked to plead and his case has been postponed to February 24 this year for further police investigations and for him to obtain legal representation.
He was not given bail and will remain in the Omungwelume Police cells.
Sha Nghilifa died instantly after she was stabbed inside her informal shop at the Onelombo village near Olupandu.
She went there to spent the weekend with her friends at her shop. While there, at about 21H00, a quarrel erupted between her and a young man.
The young man apparently took out his knife and stabbed sha Nghilifa once under her left arm. The young man ran away and was arrested later that same evening.
