Gambia: Line-Up Completed for the Semi-Finals of NAYCONF Football

Crr — The semi final line-up in the football competition of the ongoing NaYCONF has been completed after all four teams to play in the last four were known when the Kanifing Municipality was held to a 1-1 draw in their final group game against the North Bank Region at the weekend.

Amadou Keita who plays his Nawettan football for TK Snookers at the SK East mini stadium opened the scorings for North Bank Region in the 34th minute from a powerful header. He nearly doubled his side's advantage a minute later but goalkeeper Saikou Ceesay of KM was alert enough to avert the danger. KM equalised through a Musa Cham penalty kick in the 67th minute.

In the morning encounter, the Upper River Region boys defeated Banjul 1-0 thanks to Tarru Jallow's penalty kick, while West Coast Region shared the spoils with Lower Region by a similar scoreline.
