Libya: The Success of the Transition Process Depends Upon Common Awareness of Challenges, Says Nation's Abdeljalil

Carthage — "The success of the democratic transition process in Libya and Tunisia is dependent on common awareness of all the political, economic, social and security challenges" affirmed on Monday former president of Libya's transitional council Mustapha Abdeljalil.

At the end of his meeting with Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki, he said that "the revolutions that took place in the two countries have largely contributed to tighten the historical and cultural relations between the two peoples."

Libya's people, he added, will never forget Tunisia's stand and the total support of the Tunisian people to the Libyan revolution against dictatorship.

A Presidency communiqué stated that the meeting had allowed to discuss the development of bilateral relations and the necessary mechanisms to boost the strategic partnership between the two countries.
