Nigeria: Super Four - NPL Assures of Security in Kano

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Executive Secretary, Tunji Babalola has assured that Kano will provide the enabling environment and security for the Super Four that will take place in the city from tomorrow.

Babalola also said that Kano will be good hosts of the Pre-Season Tournament that will take place from tomorrow through Sunday.

According to him, all arrangements have been concluded for a hitch free competition amongst the four teams that will represent Nigeria in continental assignments this year.

He told Goal.com that the competition will bring out the best in the clubs and Kano is ready to welcome everybody.

"I want to say that everything is ready for the Super Four tournament and the seminar for club administrators and medical personnel of all the Premier League clubs.

"Kano is beckoning on all the clubs and the teams that will take part in the football tournament. Apart from the Super Four, we are also going to organise seminars for the clubs and their medical personnel.

"We need to take the welfare of our players very serious and that is why we want to teach the medical personnel of the clubs the latest trends in handling very serious cases during and after League matches.

"It will be an avenue to share ideas because we don't want any problem with any player all through the season which begins February 16th.

"We have already conducted the draws for the Super Four tournament and it will be a good place for the four teams to test their new players and assess their level of seriousness to represent Nigeria in continental assignments this year.

"I am happy for the clubs because this is a perfect opportunity for them to look at their recruitment of players and get ready to make Nigeria proud," said Babalola.
