Angola: Merit Certificates Award Marks National Culture Day

Mbanza Kongo — The awarding of certificates of merit to local artists and cultural agents will mark this Tuesday in the northern Zaire province the celebrations of the National Culture Day, being celebrated on 8 January countrywide.

According to the programme of festivities that reached Angop on Monday, the act is taking place at the premises of Kongo Kings museums.

On the occasion, it will be read messages of the chieftains, local artists, culture director and provincial governor, José Joanes André.

The event will be enlivened by cultural and modern dances and performance of different music groups.
