South Africa: Black Eagle Project Gets R95,000 From Silverstar Casino

press release

The Black Eagle Project Roodekrans received R95,000 donation from the Silverstar Casino in late 2012. The casino is committed to supporting the environment and community of Mogale City.

"We will use the funds for educational purposes, promotional items, advertising and branding of the project. A portion of the funds will also be used to upgrade our computer equipment, website and our educational room at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden," says Tanya Becker, chairperson of the Black Eagle Project Roodekrans. "We thank them for their generous contribution."

The casino's guests use the main entrance water feature as a wishing well and throw in coins and spare change. The casino cleans out the coins regularly and then matches the amount of money that guests have contributed.

"We'd like to thank our patrons for joining us in backing the Black Eagles through their generous donations. We are delighted to be able to make this sizeable donation to the project," says Shane Collinson, director of operations and complex general manager at Silverstar Casino.
